Subscribing suppliers submit their inventory to APLS on a regular basis for addition to our database. Each item can be listed by part number, national stock number (NSN), or miltary specification (mil-spec). Each item may have a known alternate or secondary part number listed by the supplier for each data row as well.

The APLS system then allows buyers to search by any of the above criteria for matches. Not only will exact matches appear to a potential buyer, but APLS automatically cross references the subscriber's search criteria with fourteen million potential matches to locate any interchangeable or alternate part numbers for the same item. This allows our buyers and sellers the highest possible opportunity for making matches.

In addition to active supplier listings, APLS also automatically locates previous DoD or Government sources for items and lists these for the buyer as well. These matches are automatically extracted from the APLS database of original supplier listings as well as current and previous contract holders.
